Snowflakes!

Well, the Wiemann Family survived Christmas 2008! Here is a picture of the boys waiting on the stairs Christmas morning! Aren't their matching PJ's cute? It's a tradition that I refuse to give up! I'm sure as they get older they will hate it more and more but for now, I'm going with it!

We didn't have any snow for Christmas this year but I had to play with snowflakes! Here is the card that I designed for my Thank You notes!

My plan was to come up with something that used the felt flurries that I had meant to use for my Christmas Cards! I also realized that I was totally out of adhesive so that really limited me! But, I think they turned out really cute! I used the snowflake embossing folder, real red ribbon and ink, felt flurries, and the Thank You sentiment from the Enjoy Every Moment Stamp Set!

Our Gingerbread House

Every year the boys want to make a Gingerbread House and every year it is a total disaster! It always starts with candy EVERYWHERE and screaming children! Luckily this year Erich kept the youngest entertained while the big boys and I attempted to make a "house". Well, as you can tell it's definitly not up to code! We had several screams of "the roof is falling"! I managed to get it stuck on there with enough icing to ice 12 wedding cakes! By the end of our attempt the boys were just throwing candy wherever it would stick!
I know many of you can relate to this "holiday task" so I thought I would share pictures of our Gingerbread Adventure! Enjoy!

Buhl is a Rockstar!

I "heart" Jonnelle Buhl! She is so darn smart! She sent me an email the other day with a tip for using Glue Dots. I have TONS of glue dots and I never, ever, ever use them. Who am I kidding, I have tons of stuff that I never use! Anyways, back to the glue dots...here is her tip...

Use your glue dots to make glitter polka dots:

Tear off however many glue dots you want, lay them down where you want them, rub the strip, remove paper, sprinkle with glitter. Need more glitter dots closer together? Before applying glitter, simply tear another strip, lay them down so they're alternating in the empty centers of previous row, add glitter to the whole bunch of them!

So, I'm totally burnt out on Christmas Cards but felt like playing today while my sick 6 year old napped, the 4 year old was busy watching some stupid show on Disney and the 2 year old was also napping. Here is what I came up with using the "Buhl Technique". Isn't it cool? The picture isn't the best but it's getting dark here and I couldn't get a good shot. I guess I could have waited till tomorrow but I was so darn excited that I just didn't want to!

Have a great day!!

Little Ghost People

I just had to share these little ghost people that now reside on my front porch! My grandparents made them for my Mom years ago and they have now found their way to my house! We love our ghost people! Ben has even named them! The girl is Nicole and the boy is Luke. He has friends by those names and for some reason thought our ghosts should share the names! Ben is funny!
I also have a little stamping project to share as well! The boys and I went to a Halloween Party today and I wanted to bring a little something for the hostess! Unfortunatly due to camera issues, you'll have to see what the "little something" is next time I post! But, here is how cute the wrapping came out! Presentation is important, right?

I'm holding myself to my challenge to complete a layout each week! Ben got his school pictures back today and I think that they turned out great! I used the retired Primary Color Simply Scrappin' Kit to complete this page. I love how easy they make scrapbooking! Enjoy!

I miss scrapbooking!

I've been thinking a lot about scrapbooking latley. I used to be really into it but it has fallen by the wayside since I started making cards. Actually, I can blame it on that but it's really because Jonnelle moved! I really do miss it and her too! ! So, I have decided to challenge myself to do at least one layout a week! It will be awhile before I am caught up but with baby #4 on the way, I can't procrastinate any longer! Yes, if you haven't already heard, we are expecting our fourth child in March! I guess I'll be changing the name of the blog, huh! Any ideas??

Anyways, in attempt to get myself back into the scrapbooking groove, I saw this really cute idea somewhere and thought I could try it! I purchased the 8x8 frame at Michaels. The "grid" is actually the leftover chipboard from ON BOARD LOTS OF LETTERS. I cut it down to fit in the frame then sponged it with Close To Cocoa Craft Ink (because I didn't have any Chocolate Chip!). I then cut my DSP from the Mini Catalog (can't think of the name and my catalog is in the van!) and my photos to 2"x2" squares. I adhered all of this onto an 8x8 sheet of chocolate chip paper *NOT THE GRID* so that I can reuse the grid for other seasons! Smart, huh? Not my original idea but I love when others think for me! I stamped the saying Happy Blessings with More Mustard ink onto Whisper White CS. Then I mounted that on Baja Blue and Really Rust CS. I popped that into the frame and DONE! Love it!
I already have it hung right by my front door! Now I will be sure to look at it everyday and be reminded that scrapbooking isn't that difficult! And, when I am done displaying it, I can pop it into an 8x8 album! How cool is that?

Halloween Bags

I found these little bags on clearance at Michael's last week and thought that they would be perfect for a little Halloween Treat! I covered them with the Ghostly Greetings DSP and added a scallop punch and a few circles! I used the the little stamps from new Halloween set in the Holiday Mini! Enjoy!

New Stuff!

I'm sorry that it has been awhile since I have shared any projects! I have been having camera issues! I think I have them worked out now!

This is a gift tag that I made to go along with a bottle for a 50th birthday gift! I didn't have a lot of time and I'm not so good at masculine projects but I think it served its purpose!

Stamps: Cheers To You

Cardstock: Old Olive and Not Quite Navy

Ink: Not Quite Navy

Accessories: Chipboard Alphabet, Scallop Circle Punch, other Circle Punches

My next project to share is a card that I made for a super nice lady, Tonya Beres and her family! They gave us 2 bicycles for the boys! Ben is so excited to have a big boy bike! He's slowly getting the hang of no training wheels but it's killing me! I totally cased the card from someone on splitcoast but I have forgotten who! If this is your card, THANKS! I've had so much trouble using Sock Monkey! He's just too big for me! I like his head though!

Stamps: Sock Monkey

Cardstock: Kraft and Barely Banana

Ink: Chocolate Chip, White Craft Ink

DSP: Bella Rosa

Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punch, Blender Pen, Chalks

Well, that is all from me for today! I'm working on a few halloween things that I'll try to get posted tomorrow!

New Neighbors!!

Our new neighbors finally moved in yesterday! We've been anticipating this for awhile! How cool is it that one of JP's friends from school bought the house 2 doors down? We are so excited to have great people on our street! It's going to be fun!

To welcome them to the neighborhood, I thought I might bake a treat for them. STOP LAUGHING! I know, I can't bake. So, off to Costco I went and I got some of those yummy muffins! I packaged them really cute so there really was effort on my part. Trust me, we are all better off when I don't turn on the oven!

Here is the card that I made to put with their goodies...

Stamps: Neighborhood Jumbo Wheel
Cardstock: Craft, Bashful Blue, Sage Shadow, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Close to Cocoa, Sage Shadow, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Aqua Painter, Scallop Edge Punch, Bashful Blue Striped Ribbon

First Day of School

Both of my big boys started school on Tuesday! JP had to be at the bus stop by 8am. Not fun for the Wiemann Family! He did great though! Although Ben and JP go to the same school, Ben is in the preschool program and doesn't get to ride the bus. He joined us at the bus stop anyways and was bummed he didn't get to get on! He'll just have to wait till next year! Here they are on the front porch being goofy!

And here is the bus stop!

And here is the welcome back card that I made for both of the teachers!

Stamps: Tart and Tangy

Cardstock: Old Olive and Basic Black

DSP: Summer Picnic

Accessories: Spiral punch, black ribbon from Michaels, Tag Punch, dimensionals, SU rub-ons.

End of Summer

I hate the end of summer. Those of you that know me know that I would much rather be sleeping in, spending time at the pool with the boys, and having NO schedule! Well, reality has hit and it's back to school is here whether I like it or not!

Here is a card that I made to bring to an end of the summer party! I don't love it but...!

Stamps: Tart and Tangy
Cardstock: Real Red and Old Olive
DSP: Summer Picnic
Accessories: Tag Punch (both sizes), Old Olive wide grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, wihte gel pen.

If you've got a minute, check out these videos of the boys going off the diving board at the pool during our last day there! They were hilarious!

And just because he is super cute, here is a picture of my youngest! He loves the pool as much as the rest of us!

Bella Rosa DSP

How beautiful is this Designer Series Paper...Bella Rosa? I love it! It's great for cards, scrapbook pages and pretty little gifts! The coordinating colors are Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, and Chocolate Chip.

For this card, I began with a base of Pink P., Then layered on the RH Red, and then the Bella Rosa DSP. I also layered RH Red with Whisper White to stamp the images. I used Defining Alphabet and Define Your Life. Obviously I could not have done it without the Stamp-a-majig! That tool rocks! If you don't have one yet, call me right now to order it! I used the wide Old Olive Ribbon and a Riding Hood Red button with hemp twine to accent the lower portion of the card.
This card began with a Pink Piroutte base and then I layered on a strip of Riding Hood Red that
I used the Scallop Edge Punch on. What a great punch! I then layered on the Bella Rosa DSP and put ribbon with a faux bow between the DSP and Riding Hood Red. Again, I used the Stamp-a-majig to stamp the sentiment from Always at the top.

This one also began with a Pink Piroutte base. I layered on the dotted Chocolate Chip Bella Rosa DSP. The pink layer is also from Bella Rosa. I stamped the "blossom" from Embrace Life in Chocolate Chip and layerd it onto Chocolate Chip cardstock. I colored it in with my blender pens and Pink Piroutte ink then added glitter to the pink flowers and tied a white bow.

So, which one is your favorite? Leave a comment and you might be chosen to recieve a 6x6 sampler of the Bella Rosa DSP!

Well, I'll leave you with a birthday card that I created for a friend!
