Almost Wedding Time!

2 weeks from today my sister will be married! I've been busy helping out with lots of the fun details! I'll be posting the projects over the next two weeks! I'm not sure if i've shared this yet but here is one of the Save The Dates that I did for her. It's NOT the one she chose to send to her family and friends but it was MY favorite! Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Flower

Here is my project share for today! I made this quick card last week and had forgotten about it until I was chatting with my friend and she said that she was making something with the "suede flower technique". When she explained it to me I realized that I had already tried it! Who knew...! This card is made with Kraft Cardstock, retired DSP, chocolate chip ink, a flower die for the Big Shot, corduroy button, and oval punch. I sponged the edges to give it a "vintage" look. What do you think?

MDS Save The Date

Both my brother and sister are getting married this year! Michelle and Dan will be married in June and Michael and Stella are tying the knot in September! They both asked me to make their Save The Date cards! I chose to use My Digital Studio to make it easier on all of us! The Save The Date below is not the one that Michelle chose but I wanted to share it anyways because it was "my favorite"! Dan proposed in Italy (where the photos were taken) and they are going with a "wine" theme for the wedding. What do you think? I'll post the one that she DID choose after I am certain that they are all mailed out!

Allie Garland

Here is the project that I made this morning! I've been dying to make one of these and finally borrowed the Scallop Square Die from Annie. I love it! I'm going to hang it over a shelf in her room. Wouldn't one of these be cute as a baby shower or birthday party decoration? Hmmm...!

Hair Clip

I'm still snowed in! I'll be posting lots of my "snow projects" today! Here is the first one...! It was a quick project with
the Cuttlebug (or big shot), felt, a bling brad, a metal barrett, and a glue gun!! I had a hard time getting a good picture of it because my "model" kept moving her head!
I'm going to make more of these once I get more clips! I might even try to sell them in my Etsy Shop!

I'll be back...!

Yep, more snow. We're supposed to get even more today and then I think maybe more this upcoming weekend. I'm not excited. Can't it just go away and be summer??? But, snow means more MDS pages! I made this one to put on a 5x7 photo panel to set out for display. Yes, it is all 4 of my big babies! How sweet are they?

A Great Friend!

My friend Laura saved my life today! I was totally out of Diet Coke and almost going through withdrawls when she called to borrow a stamp! I told her she was welcome to the stamp as long as she brought me a Diet Coke! And she did! That was the best tasting Diet Coke that I've had in a long time!

To thank her I created this card using the Diet Coke Can! (Laura, this will be in your mailbox tomorrow!) I used my Flower Layers Die to cut the can and adhered it together with a silver brad! How cute is that? JP told me that I did a good job "using my resources". Gotta love the 2nd grader!

The card was too plain with just the flower so I added the Real Red Polka Dot Ribbon! I thought the sentiment was perfect...! It's a white Rub-On from the Chit Chat package. If you don't have those rub-ons, add them to your next order! I use them so often...they also come in Chocolate Chip!

I hope you all have a great friend like Laura! Have a wonderful weekend!

I'm freezing!

I am so cold! I am not a fan of cold rainy days! But at least it gives me an excuse to snuggle on the couch with Allie and Will! It's also given me an excuse to scrapbook sice I can use my laptop and stay under a blanket! Here is my quick page for today! Enjoy!

Gingerbread House Layout

JP's class had a Gingerbread House Party last week! They were supposed to have it prior to Winter Break but due to Snownami 2009, it was postponed! I wasn't able to go but my neighbor took some pictures and I scrapped them right away! Have I mentioned that I HEART MDS? It makes scrapbooking so easy for me! You need it too...! Anyways, here it is....

The first picture is his teacher. She is such a sweetie! It is her first year teaching and boy does she have a fun class as you can tell from the second picture of all of the boys! The boys are such great friends and really have so much fun together. The 3rd picture is JP and his buddy, JH! Aren't they cute?

I'm busy making rehearsal dinner invitations for my cousins wedding this week and also working on ideas for my sisters wedding invitations! Busy busy!!

Purple & Yellow

Hello! I finally have some cards to share! My neighbor just found out that she got accepted to James Madison University so I made here a congrats card in the school colors. These also happened to be colors that were highlighted in the latest Stampin' UP! magazine. As a matter of fact, I totally copied this card from the magazine! I did add the white rub-on and silver flower brad!

While I had my supplies out I decided to make a birthday card to just have on hand! I'm so bad about stocking up on cards and find myself making them as I need because I like to tailor my cards to the recipient but now I'll have at least one if I need it in a pinch!

Another MDS Layout

Here is a quick scrapbook page that I whipped up between folding a thousand loads of laundry!

We went to Timberline for New Years Eve! JP, Ben, and Erich skied while I stayed back at the house on "kid duty"! Will, Allison, and I got out for a little snow time! We went sledding, threw some snowballs, played with the dogs, and of course took pictures! The big boys had a great time skiing! JP and Ben went to "ski school" for the day and learned a lot! They can't wait to go back! I'll be scrapping the pictures of them soon!
